Still Alive

Yes, I am fine. I am just off blogging for a bit. Need to regroup and refocus and all that..

My phone has really gone bonkers (it was not just me not picking it up this weekend). So don't worry, I am still alive and have not managed to wipe myself off this planet, yet :D *And for all those who heaved a sigh of relief, I will hold you to it when I am back to bugging you 24/7 :P*

So to keep you all occupied here, answer these please -

1. Name 3 people in the blogosphere you would really like to meet in real life.

2. Do you think a blogger's persona matches his/her real life image?

3. Would you prefer to blog anon/ under a pseudo name / with your true identity? Why?

4. Do you have a story about a blog-friend that you are willing to share ?

The forum belongs to you the readers now.. have at it.

Hey guys sakshi has nthing to blog about so she is hatching a conspiracy to keep us busy with crap and this post is the first step towards that.

Blogers stand and fight for ...*guessing ,wondering*

1. Name 3 people in the blogosphere you would really like to meet in real life.
PZ Myers, Sean Carroll and The Waiter

2. Do you think a blogger's persona matches his/her real life image?
Depends on the person, right? With you, I would say the surface is not even scratched.

3. Would you prefer to blog anon/ under a pseudo name / with your true identity? Why?
If I do ever blog it will be either anon or pseudo name.I think that who I am should reallly not matter when it comes to what I write.

4. Do you have a story about a blog-friend that you are willing to share ?
Here goes. I was moving from KY to NY and I called up this whimsical girl with the oddest sense of humor (yes, you). When I told her that I have only 2 days to move and start working, she called up the movers, helped me find an apartment and hooked me up with a couple of friends she knew there. This when she was in middle of giving her qualifiers. Something that makes her one of the nicest people to have in your corner.

@Anon - Can you please leave comments that atleast make sense?

Somewhere I can hear chants of "Fight" in the background on reading the comments from abhi and anon...

Anyways,

1. I would like to meet all the people that I have linked to in the Blogging friends community.

2. Totally not nec. Writing and being the same personality in real life are two different things.

3. I write under a pseudo name though those who know me get to know the real name as well.

4. Someone sent me a couple of DVDs and more importantly made cup cakes for my b'day once - very touching.

1. Nobody. The couple blogs I read are written by friends. And others are by journalists and I really dont want to meet them.

2. Your personality is reflected in this blog but as Abhi points it is not even a partial potrait.

3. I am lazy ass as you point out numerable times. I don't want to blog, period!

4. So many little things you have done, called, emailed or dropped by when I needed help. Those you love, you love unconditionally. That is the most endearing quality about you. But the episode that made us friends was when the infamous A and you had once made a series of posts that *ahem* made a mince meat of certain someone we know. The way you attacked the SOB was brilliant and fun for those who read the posts. I think that A and you should re-post those.

PS. Abhi, thanks for taking up the fight. For once she won't call me the Knight.
H.

@Abhi may be the person trying to read it was senseless , should observe the situation from all angles, anyway not interested in flaming hope you meet halfway

@H- Needed to redeem.

@Anon - Let me break it down - a. Anyone who knows this girl will tell you, that she can blog about anything, anytime. So her not having anything to blog about is, as you put it, a crappy statement.
And your call "Blogers stand and fight for ...*guessing ,wondering*
", I doubt if anyone understood that.
Glad to know your not interested in flaming, considering you are commenting as an anon on a blog where you have nothing to say except inflammatory remarks! So please say something productive or leave the readers in peace.

@Anon - You are entitled to your opinion but the truth is that most stuff I write is what I consider 'crap'- it serves no other purpose than pure entertainment.

@Abhi - Let it go. Anon can say whatever he want. Just dont feed trolls.

1. Cecilia(from PhD comics), Yarn Harlot(Google and see) and maybe Scott Adams..

2. Na!!

3. True identity - cos its my way of keeping in touch/letting others know what i have been up to. But i do get anon/pseudo names... esp when one wants to rant.. or maybe they are Gemini :)

4. It was cool to find my neighbor had a blog and we shared the same interests in knitting. Made more friends at the local knitting group through her :)

Answer to the 1st question-
1.Sakshi 2.Sakshi and 3.Sakshi
asap :)LOL

i will answer #4 in a post soon. hope you're having better times and come back with a saucy/sassy/ranting post or two. :p

1. No, I once met someone from blog in real life and did not like the taste of events after that - I like the blog doesnt mean I want to meet the person.

2. I dont think a few lines on an Emedia adequately represents anyone, a part of someone, maybe -not all.

3.Dunno - maybe my real name IS my pseudo name :D

4. Woooo! I have many , one of them is so damn bitter that I wld rather not share; but for most others, the blog buddies have become real life buddies too.

1. Just 3????? Hmm, lalila Lalami of Moorish Girl, James at left end of teh Dial, Ingrid at Blogosphere, my little brother Khaled Jarrar over at Tell me a Secret, you... ;>

2. No and it doesn't need to- that's the great part about writing.

3. I do and I do. because I like a good anonymous rant and I like to keep parts of my professional life separate from my more radical private self (some at work wonder how much more radical would that be...). However. I drop clues like crazy...so follow the breadcrumbs if you really want/need to know.

1. You, TGFI and Kirthi. Yes, all are women but note that all are much older than me so that thought is 100% platonic :P

2. Depends upon the person of course, and you can usually tell... some are clearly the candid and straightforward type whereas some talk in circles when it comes to themselves...

3. My own identity. No regrets. To do so otherwise would be to paint without a full palette or cook without the right ingredients.

4. There used to be this blogger called the Divster... she lives in Hungary so I was a little curious about her and I googled her identity plus an old photo :). Boy, she was mad! She was sweet enough to forgive me, though...

And that poor Mr. Anon was just trying to say that Sakshi is diverting us like a baby-rattle instead of writing proper blog posts... clearly he was not trying to be a troll...

1. New to blogging so not many choices, but definitely you :).

2. One's writting always reflects glimpse of what he/she actually is.Sometime similarities are obvious and sometime the relationship is too complex for us mortals to work it out but it is always there.

3. Both have their own utilities, Anon, psuedo name help one to unwind without caring about social courtesies and express oneself better, using real name sometimes help communicate better than anony when that person has a history, as we say words cant express everything.

4. None(told you, new to blogging).

@Anon- Heh. People say you are trying to be funny.

@Abhi- that is what the friends are for.

@H- Too private to share here. The other blog was private, remember?

@Mazhalai- Knitting! Remind me to tell you a story of my experience :P

@Madhuli- I understand!

@TGFI- I will get to it, asap :D

@ Arpz- Yes, blogging has been a good experience. Where else would I have connected with you, eh?

@Zazao- But you leave no trail to follow :(

@Prashanth- Mere mortals don't dare to tell 3 women they are old :P Especially if the person is a mere babe so to speak and stalks other girls, OMG!!
Thou shall pay, my friend!

@Nam- Ohh,, A Fan!! I like that :D

1. Falstaff (just to see if he’s anything like I’ve imagined him to be)
Asal Tamil Penn(i think it would be really cool to meet her. I love how she’s constantly offending everyone)
and
Kaushik Gopalan
(just so I could check his TV. I refuse to believe he doesn’t have cable)

2. Hell no!

3. I blog under my first name only which is as good as being anonymous. Plus everyone has these secret blogs nowadays anyway. So there’s the one main blog where one can be pretentious and bipolar and fun and then there’s the secret blog where one can be honest and bitchy.

4. I had this ‘blogger crush’ on this one guy who was gay and I was aware of his gayness but it was a ‘blogger crush’ so that made it okay. Then many many months later I had a real crush on this other blogger and he turned out to be gay as well. Much research later I found out the two used to date at one point. So that’s my blogger story.

Pri,

LOVE your blogger story!!!

Sakshi, doll- the breadcrumbs are there- trust me....:)
A few hints: Al Jadid + Morocco, IPS.org + San Diego, Italy+France + US+ Morocco= me

@Pri- Kaushik says he does not have cable?? LIAR!!!
And please let me know if you a crush on any of the men on my blog roll. Before I make plans to meet any of them :P

@Zazou - Me likey. SD, you say? We should meet up!

@BaL- So sorry to have missed your really sweet comment! As I said to Abhi, friends do such things.

Hmmm, no one wants to meet me. I am heartbroken.

@Confused - Actually, BaL does!
Oh! You meant no single woman :D

Sakshi,

All women are single. Husbands/bf's are immaterial from my perspective.

BAL, thank you. It would be greately appreciated if you could bring with you a couple of hot classmates too.

You're on! You can contact me on my blog (makesomenoise-zazou.blogspot.com) or e-mail me at artshow_1@hotmail.com. We can show you Sparta by the Bay.

Schuss,

@Confused: If I could bring the hot class mates, why would I meet you, dude?

Alright i checked and you're safe.

hey Sakshi, will it be so terrible for you to answer your own questions, show some courtesy and give us all your opinion too.Would like to see if you can come up with an ans which can surprise me\us

@Zazou - you are on! I will mail you as soon as I catch my breath in SD!

@BaL- hehehhehe. So true :D

@Pri- Hush. Thanks. Let me now go call the guys up :P

@Anon- And pray tell, what would I say? But you raise a good point. I will answer them as a separate post.
