TGFI tagged me! I have arrived!!!
Lalit and
Shek, your tags are archived and will be done.. but she threatened to close shop on me,
wokay.. so I had to do it asap, who else will let me spam,
errr comment so much on their space :) But I have talked about myself enough and I really am not a nice person -
dissenters will be punished- so I have changed it up. I am going to tell you the eight wrong things I did as a child - the adult years needs reams and reams of pages and would entail therapy for all of you, so lets just skip that!
8. I hated writing and doing homework when I was in school. I rarely wrote anything more than I had to and barely - if things could be said in one word, they would be. Which meant lot of notes to parents about "PTA" meetings.
7. I never liked to waste my time eating lunch in school (was time best occupied playing sports or reading). But since Ma would be hurt if I bought back my lunch, I made other people eat it - whether they liked it or not :)
6. I did not study my entire school years. I was more into other things and yet I was always considered a nerd - so in the end I gave up trying to be "cool"and just became a nerd! I had announced at the age of 5 that one clever kid per household is more that enough and since
bhai filled that spot - I should be left alone. And yet, I was made to study! The torture!
5. I used to run away from school, periodically. Instead of staying in the activity class, I hiked the 45-50 minutes walk home - to be with my pets.
4. I blackmailed my siblings (way too often) to be included in their activities - in my defense, I hated playing with dolls and other
girly things. The boys did not like it so much, so I was made to field at the boundary, way too often. But then again, if they did not do stupid things I would not have leverage, would I?
3. Mom did not know that I photocopied the letters that she made me write - I mean I have way
too many brothers and they all were getting
Rakhees.. why write up the same thing over and over again? Sadly, my impeccable logic was lost on her and from then onwards she made sure she sealed each envelope. Yet, when I wrote the letters she made sure of the content! It seems asking money from your brothers is a no- no.. but they give silly gifts like dolls and
jewellery. Money is so straight forward, right?
2. I signed my parents name (I can do both - perfectly) on my report cards. And the PTA announcements or anything else that required it. Why should they be bothered, no?
1. I kinda, sorta always sneaked out of the house...so much so that my Dad made it a point to move us into the 3 floor apartment.. it really gave him a false sense of security :D
